DAHKLA

From DAHKLA

I arrived in Dakhla around midnight. In the morning when I look trough my window, I could believe it was this blue lagoon in the middle of the desert.

I need it quiet time and despite I don’t do Kyte surfing ( The main activity in Dahkla ) I know I was in the right place to be able to read, sleep, do my yoga classes followed by a massage, early dinner and repeat.

I adore silence, and for that being in the middle of the desert is just the perfect place to be. Don’t worrry you will have fast internet, and if you need to do some work they have all the resources available. Not bad right ? Dahkla is raw and real in every sense.

Dakhla is located in Morocco 400 kilometers north of the Mauritanian border. The city is built on a peninsula that runs down from the mainland creating a lagoon area that is highly popular for kite surfing worldwide.

How to get there

  • There are domestic and international flights to Dakhla. Direct flights are from Agadir and Casablanca via Royal Air Maroc.
  • Air Arabia also now offers flights from Marrakech to Dakhla International flights arrive from France and Germany in a weekly basis.
